KUCHING, Jan 24: The second phase of TEGAS Lodge Sarawak is progressing according to schedule, with all key submissions expected to be completed by January 2026 and construction anticipated to commence around March 2026.
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Chairman of Sarawak Multimedia Authority subsidiary Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), Datuk Len Talif Salleh, said the project is targeted for completion in 2027.
“The second stage of TEGAS Lodge Sarawak is envisioned as a key facility to support the State’s growing digital and innovation ecosystem.
“The lodge will provide accommodation along with supporting amenities such as a digital gym, wellness centre, surau, laundry facilities and other essential services for users,” he said.
He said this during his speech at the Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia National Awards Ceremony held here today.
According to Len Talif, the overall project cost is estimated at RM71.6 million.
“In terms of progress, we are on track to complete all key submissions by January 2026, with construction expected to commence around March 2026.
“Based on the current timeline, the project is targeted for completion in 2027,” he added.
He said over the coming months, the focus will be on finalising all necessary approvals to ensure the project is ready to move forward smoothly.
At the same ceremony, five enterprises were named the Shell LiveWire Malaysia 2025 national winners.
Each of the five national winners received RM30,000 in start up funding and access to the global LiveWire network, while Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) provided an additional RM20,000 cash incentive to Sarawak based winners Earthlings Coffee Workshop Sdn Bhd, Lariss Quna Enterprise and Lettuboost Enterprise. — DayakDaily
