MIRI, Dec 8: A teenage boy was found dead inside his room at the family home at Padang Kerbau here yesterday.
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said the 15-year-old boy was alone in his room when found by one of his nephew at around 4pm.
“The discovery was made by one of the nephew who walked into the room to grab something. Shocked and terrified, the nephew immediately alerted the boy’s mother who was at the lower floor of the house,” he said.
Lim added that the police was immediately informed of the incident.
It is believed that the youth died by suicide. However, it was not revealed whether the deceased left any notes prior to the incident.
The body was taken to Miri Hospital for a post mortem. The case has been classified as sudden death. — DayakDaily
