KUCHING, May 23: Tebedu has became the latest district in Sarawak to turn into a Covid-19 green zone after zero positive cases have been reported there over the past 14 days.
With Tebedu turning into green zone today, three districts out of the 40 districts in Sarawak are still classified as yellow zones. They are Kuching, Sibu and Serian while 37 districts across Sarawak are classified as green zones.
Meanwhile, State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said there was no positive case reported today after one positive case from Kuching was reported yesterday.
The committee noted the number of cumulative Covid-19 cases in Sarawak stood at 545 with 17 fatalities.
SDMC added there were 19 new cases of person-under-investigation (PUI) whilst 133 PUI cases are waiting for laboratory results.
The committee disclosed that there were five Covid-19 patients from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) who have recovered and been discharged from the hospital today.
As a result, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Sarawak was 464 cases, equivalent to a recovery rate of 85.14 per cent.—DayakDaily
