SERIAN, May 26: The Tebakang and Siburan health clinics will have retinal cameras to facilitate eye examinations for 11,380 diabetic patients here.
Sarawak Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn said this could improve the quality of health services in Serian.
“Both the health department and local population will benefit from the retinal camera machines,” he said when speaking at the retinal camera mock cheque handover ceremony to the Serian Divisional Health office here on Thursday (May 25).
Roland also thanked Sarawak Energy Berhad for donating two Topcon TRC-400NW retinal cameras worth RM240,000.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus, Serian Division Resident Selamat Jati Yanjah, and Serian district officer Lim Hock Meng were also present. — DayakDaily
