MIRI, June 24: Teachers and residents aged 50 years and above in Miri District who have yet to register for Covid-19 vaccinations have been urged to do so, while those registered but yet to receive appointments through MySejahtera may contact Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (Miri DDMC) directly.
Minister-in-charge of Miri DDMC Datuk Lee Kim Shin has called on the public to contact Miri DDMC for actions to be taken in regards to their Covid-19 vaccinations.
“They can call Miri DDMC via WhatsApp at 011-59284348 or 011-59424290 and provide their details including full name, IC number, mobile or telephone number and address so that arrangements can be made.
“Teachers who have not received their appointments can also send their details to the respective District Offices so that arrangements can be made for vaccination,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) yesterday.
Lee who is also the Transport Minister advised Miri residents who have received their appointments for vaccination outside the district and wished to change their vaccination centre (PPV) location to call Miri DDMC to make arrangements.
He also urged community leaders and village or longhouse chieftains to assist in collecting and submitting information of people above 50 years of age within their areas to the respective District Offices.
“Registered associations can also help to disseminate information to their members and submit the details of their members to the respective District Offices which will coordinate and send the list of names to the Health Department for vaccination arrangements,” he added. ā DayakDaily
