KUCHING, Feb 14: Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep approved Minor Rural Project (MRP) and Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) grants worth RM149,000 for Kampung Skiat Baru in Bau.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, out of the total amount, RM49,000 was allocated under the MRP grant, and another RM100,000 under the RTP grant.
Henry, who is also Assistant Minister of Transport II, said for St Thomas Apostle Church, RM30,000 was allocated to upgrade its facilities, while another RM10,000 was given to Kampung Skiat Baru’s Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK).
He made the announcement when attending a community programme held in Kampung Skiat Baru Community Hall yesterday.
He added that the same allocation has also been approved to the Youth and Woman Bureau and the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) in the village; each will receive RM3,000. ― DayakDaily
