Tangap Sub-Cluster abates with zero positives, Pasai sees 13 new cases

KUCHING, Feb 6: Tangap Sub-Cluster in Subis records zero increase in Covid-19 positive cases today.

Despite that, State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said there are 13 new cases related to the Pasai Cluster in Sibu.


With that, the cumulative number of cases in the Pasai Cluster went up to 2,576 while that in Tangap Sub-cluster remained at 110.

Uggah also revealed, in the Covid-19 press conference today, that in this sub-cluster, 338 individuals were screened where 235 were negative and two more still awaiting laboratory test results.

For the Pasai Cluster, among 32,100 individuals screened, 29,024 were negatives and 500 are waiting for their results.

Meanwhile, three other clusters that registered increases in cases are Nanga Lijan Cluster in Julau (21), Tabong Cluster in Bau (1) and Rakut Cluster in Miri (1).

The remaining 12 clusters namely the Seruas, Sebangkoi, Jun Heng, Bintang Daily, Jalan Pengiran, Indah Riang, Bedayan, Bukit Sekubong, Jelita, Keranji Tabuan, Bah Sayap and Stutong Clusters did not find any new infections today. —DayakDaily
