KUCHING, Nov 14: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (BIMB) handed over RM915,000 in business zakat to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) for the 2024 financial year at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was present to witness the handover.
The zakat contribution was presented by BIMB group chief executive officer, Dato’ Mohd Muazzam Mohamad, to TBS general manager, Datu Abg Mohd Shibli Abg Mohd Nailie.
Also present at the handover ceremony were TBS operations sector head Mohd Yusree Mohd Zain, BIMB group chief social finance officer Mohd Nazri Chik, group chief business officer Sharifah Sarah Syed Mohamad Tahir, BIMB East Malaysia regional director Kameri Edi, and BIMB Sarawak director Ahmad Herni Benjamin. — DayakDaily
