Tabuan Jaya police housing complex gets facelift with RM5 mil fund from S’wak govt

KUCHING, Sept 13: The Tabuan Jaya Police Housing Complex has received a facelift with the completion of a repainting project through the support and allocation provided by the Sarawak government.

Inspector General of Police Dato’ Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail expressed his deepest appreciation to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the State government for their contribution of RM5 million, in recognition of the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) role in safeguarding Sarawak’s peace and security.

“With the support of the Sarawak Premier and the State government, the Tabuan Jaya Police Housing Complex has been upgraded through the repainting works funded under the allocation provided,” he said when officiating at the completion ceremony of the upgrading project at the complex here today.

At the event, Abang Johari also handed over four four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles to the Sarawak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID).

“This contribution further strengthens the capacity of our force, particularly in combating narcotics-related crimes in the State,” he asserted.

Furthermore, Khalid stated that strong and reliable vehicles are critical assets for strengthening enforcement operations, considering Sarawak’s challenging terrain and vast geographical area.

Hence, he encouraged all members of the ‘Sang Saka Biru’ to show their appreciation for the significant contributions by performing their tasks with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.

Also present were Sarawak Minister for Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah; Bukit Aman NCID director Dato Hussein Omar Khan; Sarawak Commissioner of Police Dato Mancha Ata; and Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS) director Abdul Wahab Rahim. — DayakDaily
