Switzerland explores strengthening cooperation with S’wak focused on welfare, protection agreements, multilateralism

KUCHING, March 25: Switzerland is currently exploring three key areas to strengthen its cooperation with Sarawak, with a primary focus on welfare, protection agreements, and reinforcing the principles of multilateralism.

According to TVS, the Ambassador-Designate of Switzerland to Malaysia, Chantal Moser, stated that this initiative is part of Switzerland’s ongoing efforts to expand its diplomatic and economic relations with Sarawak.

“The purpose of my visit is to discuss welfare issues, which are a major priority in the relationship between Switzerland and Asia, along with protection agreements and strengthening welfare relations and multilateralism,” she said.

She made these remarks after paying a courtesy visit to the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, here today.

She also expressed interest in understanding Sarawak’s vision and Malaysia’s overall journey in ensuring the well-being of its people.
