S’wakians urged to bring talents and skills home to propel region forward

KUCHING, July 22: Sarawak is not just a key contributor to Malaysia’s economy but also leads the way in thr new era of clean energy and net zero carbon industry, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Dr Sim said Sarawak today stands tall as a significant player not just within Malaysia but also on the international stage.

According to him, big companies from South Korea, Japan and even United Arab Emirates (UAE) are planning large scale collaborations with Sarawak.

“This is just the beginning. We must sustain this momentum so that all this efforts will benefit our local business ecosystem and fellow anak Sarawak,” he said in a Sarawak Independence Day video message yesterday (July 21) on Facebook.

Dr Sim, who is also Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president, said in the journey to become a hub of new sustainable energy industry, Sarawak requires new talent, innovative minds and skills to propel the region forward.

As such, he urged all Sarawakians regardless of where they are to learn from the world and bring the knowledge back home

“Together we can develop our beloved Sarawak and realise our full potential. Let us not just come together but rise together and walk towards a brighter future in Sarawak nation building,” he added. — DayakDaily
