KUCHING, April 14: C.R.W.N Idea Sdn Bhd managing director Andy Yek Hock Siang made Sarawak proud as one of five Malaysians recently accorded the Hennessy X.O Circle Excellence Award.
Hailing from Bintulu, Yek is recognised as an individual with an enterprising spirit who is lauded for his exceptional success in kitchen and bathroom accessories and other specialisations to international standards.
Yek’s business skills and pioneering spirit have made him an exceptional young entrepreneurial leader, embodying the trailblazing spirit of Hennessy X.O.
From a humble background, he rapidly grew his business across East Malaysia, and within two decades, he began producing his line of sanitary ware, kitchenware, and home improvement products under the Gucini name.
As such, his success and excellence within this industry are part of Hennessy X.O’s ‘Greatness Is An Odyssey’ programme.
To honour his awards and recognition, Hennessy, in collaboration with the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS), hosted a dinner to unveil Yek’s entrepreneurial journey of reaching international standards together with Hennessy X.O at Hilton Hotel Kuching last night (April 13).
Besides Yek, other recipients include Kin Ho Group chief executive officer (CEO) Roland Chua, Zeon Properties Group CEO Leon Lee, Syarikat Letrik Chen Guan Sdn Bhd director Choon Pin Hoong, and Paragon Globe Bhd executive chairman and Joland Group managing director Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng.
Hennessy X.O Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia Sdn Bhd senior brand manager Aiko Inouye Lee, ACCCIS president Kong Chiong Ung, and Gucini Italian product ambassador Gian Luca Meloda were among those present at the event. — DayakDaily
