S’wak govt strengthens ties with Foreign Affairs Ministry to expand global diplomatic outreach

KUCHING, July 17: Sarawak is ramping up efforts to expand its international diplomatic outreach, as Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan reaffirmed the State government’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s foreign trade agenda during a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Minister Dato Seri Mohamad Hasan.

According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, the courtesy visit, held at Wisma Putra in Putrajaya yesterday (July 16), aimed to strengthen cooperation between the State government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly in expanding Sarawak’s international diplomatic outreach.

Awang Tengah, who also serves as State Minister for International Trade, Industry, and Investment, underscored the State’s readiness to participate in international trade missions organised by Wisma Putra and relevant agencies.

Also present were senior officials from the Sarawak government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — DayakDaily
