SIBU, Jan 16: The Sarawak government is committed to providing the best sports facilities ahead of the 21st Sukma Games.
Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu, said it would not hinder the State government’s efforts despite constraints in importing sports equipment from abroad.
“We are aware of these challenges but are trying our best. In this matter, certain parties are seen as trying to help us.
“This is not only on the shoulders of the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) but is the responsibility of the relevant parties in the State,” he said in a TVS news report.
He said this after the officiation ceremony for Sukan Sarawak (Suksar) 2024 today. — DayakDaily
