S’wak CP Mohd Zainal makes farewell call on Premier ahead of new Bukit Aman role

KUCHING, Oct 2: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a farewell courtesy call from Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zainal Abdullah at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here on Thursday (Oct 1).

According to TVS, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail also attended the courtesy call as part of efforts to strengthen ties and cooperation between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Sarawak government.

Mohd Zainal will end his tenure as Sarawak Police Commissioner after leading the Sarawak PDRM contingent for over a year.

He will be transferred to Bukit Aman, where he has been appointed director of the PDRM Management Department, taking over the post from Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid, who was appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police effective Sept 9.

During his tenure in Sarawak, he also helped ensure the State’s security and public order remained at a good level. — DayakDaily
