KUCHING, Feb 23: The Sarawak Bus Transport Companies Association (SBTCA) paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Transport Sarawak (MOTS) Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, today at the latter’s office in Petra Jaya here.
According to a press statement, during the meeting, SBTCA chairman Mohd Atan Abdullah introduced Lee to the new members of the committee for the year 2023-2025.
During the meeting, the association also raised a number of concerns and issues, including a shortage of bus drivers, bus fares, operation permits, and a regional bus terminal.
MOTS will refer those issues to the appropriate agencies, including the Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board (CVLB), the Road Transport Department (JPJ), and the Federal Ministry of Transport Malaysia. — DayakDaily
