Suspects arrested over convenience store robbery

MIRI, Dec 14: Police have arrested two suspects for robbery involving 24-hour convenience store in the wee hours today.

Team from Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID), led by inspector Fredly Juing, picked up the suspects at about 1am in two separate locations.


Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah informed that one was nabbed inside a hotel room in the city centre, while the second suspect by the roadside of Jalan Lampan.

Both suspects, in their early 30s, are currently being placed under police custody for questioning.

They were suspected to be involved in robbing a 24-hour convenience shop in the city centre on Dec 2.

The case is being investigated under Section 395 for gang robbery.— DayakDaily
