Suspected Wuhan virus case in Sibu tests negative

SIBU, Jan 29: A Chinese national who was admitted to hospital on suspicion of having the Wuhan coronavirus has tested negative for the disease.

“She is well and being discharged today (Jan 29),” revealed Sibu MP Oscar Ling, adding that the woman also tested negative for influenza A and B.

On January 27, the woman was admitted to Sibu Hospital for suspected coronavirus.

News of the case had gone viral on social media, including rumours that it had been confirmed the patient had the Wuhan virus. However, Ling rebutted these rumours as fake.— DayakDaily
