KUCHING, Aug 18: Members of the public who have yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccine shots can get them during the mobile vaccination bus programme this week.
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) women chief Kho Teck Wan said the program will be held at Song Kheng Hai Hawker Centre in Padungan today (Aug 18) and Jalan Tun Jugah open parking space next to Gingerbread House on Aug 19.
Jointly organised by Tanah Puteh Health Clinic, Kuching City South Council, Kuching Nature and Culture Association and Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), both events will begin from 8am to 12noon.
The Covid-19 mobile vaccination bus programme is meant to speed up vaccination process in Sarawak.
This will help the government to reach the unreachable, or people to get vaccinated without having to travel far, or those who may have difficulties in moving or getting to the vaccination centres.
Those born in the year 2003 or earlier and pregnant women (between 14 to 33 weeks) are allowed to walk in without appointment for the vaccination.
