MIRI, Aug 23: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Piasau lodged a police report yesterday against former Pujut assemblyman Dr Ting Tiong Choon over an allegedly libelous Facebook post concerning rural road projects in Sarawak.

The police report was made by SUPP Piasau Youth chief Tan Lek Jin with several other youth leaders.

Tan disclosed the police report was lodged at Miri Police Central Station (CPS) and they want the police to investigate Dr Ting over his Facebook post and for using allegedly fake photos to tarnish the image of the Sarawak government led the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and its components parties.

“The photos that he (Dr Ting) used in his post are fake and attempting to fracture (sic) people in Sarawak,” said Tan.

In the post, Dr Ting who currently in Australia, claimed that Sarawak’s rural road projects are being carried out indiscriminately.

“In fact, the photos (showing people at an unidentified road construction site, repairing potholes) which he (Dr Ting) uploaded are fake and misleading the rakyat,” Tan said. — DayakDaily
