This regulation of a maximum fine of RM10,000 for those flouting Movement Control Order (MCO) regulations was effective starting March 11 under the amended Emergency (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases) Ordinance 2021, according to the publication on the Federal Gazette website.

The Ordinance also said that companies found violating the same regulations will be liable to a maximum fine of up to RM50,000.

Earlier today, four individuals in Sibu Jaya Commercial Centre were compounded RM10,000 each during a police inspection.

The four were two hairdressers who failed to put on personal protective equipment (PPE) while at work, a coffee shop operator who did not put up a yellow line around his shop, and a helper of a Kampua noodle stall who was wearing his face mask improperly. ā€”DayakDaily
