KUCHING, June 30: Sarawak is coming up with a mobile application for the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2024.
According to Deputy State Secretary (Operation) and chief executive officer for Sukma and Para Sukma XXI Sarawak 2024 Datu Hii Chang Kee, the app will provide athletes and sports fans with the necessary information such as game results, locations, and event schedules.
“We are still at the final stage of implementing it. However, the Sukma 2024 website is already available.
“All the details about Sukma games, including the event schedule, are available to be downloaded from the website,” he said during Sarawak Public Communication Unit’s (Ukas) Bual Bicara Juh Randau programme held yesterday (June 29).
Hii said that for Sukma and Para Sukma XXI Sarawak 2024, TV Sarawak (TVS) will also become the leading broadcasting partner with Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).
He pointed out that previously, Sukma events were only broadcast in specific slots, but by utilising digital technology, TVS and RTM will broadcast the events continuously.
“Meaning that whenever they (the viewer) tune in, there is an update on the events, but not all of the venues will have a live telecast,” he explained.
He added that they are also working with merchandise sponsors for Sukma and Para Sukma XXI Sarawak 2024 to enable fans to order the merchandise online instead of only being available at the venues. — DayakDaily
