KUCHING, Feb 24: The supply of subsidised necessities is sufficient and readily available at every ‘Point of Sale’ (POS) in several localities in Limbang.

According to a new report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) confirmed this after a monitoring and inspecting each POS in the district for the Price Standardisation Project on Wednesday (Feb 23).

The inspection and monitoring operation was conducted in Kampung Merutup, Lubuk Kallang, Lubuk Kepayang and Simpang Kabong.

During the inspection, the traders were found to have complied with all the rules and standards enforced by KPDNHEP such as the use of valid scales, price tagging, as well as complying with the Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 4 under Act 342.

On the same note, the local villagers hopes that this programme can be continued as it offers low prices, especially in rural areas.
