Subis, Beluru, Miri, Marudi expected to experience adverse weather until 1pm (Nov 28)

KUCHING, Nov 28: Miri is expected to face thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 1pm today.

In an advisory issued at 10.30am today, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the affected areas in Miri are:

  • Subis
  • Beluru
  • Miri
  • Marudi

“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with an intensity of rain exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to occur for more than an hour.


“A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single issue,” said the department. — DayakDaily
