Strong teacher-parent ties will benefit our kids, says rep

MIRI, May 22: Good two-way communication between teachers and parents is crucial to ensure students’ success in their studies, said Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.

He reckoned that this close ties would prompt parents to be more involved in their children’s learning.


Speaking at SJK (C) Kee Tee Long Lama Teachers’ Day dinner in Long Lama on Sunday, he added that close rapport between teachers and parents would also give rise to a comfortable and safer learning environment.

“Teachers not only help shape our future leaders but they also support our children’s educational development,” he said.

Also present were the school’s headmaster Tan Chew Boon, board of management chairman Penghulu Desmond Yap, teachers and administrative staff. — DayakDaily
