KUCHING, Jan 9: A storage facility belonging to a local company in Samalaju was destroyed by fire in the wee hours, today.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre in a statement today said they received a report regarding the incident at 12.56 am, and a team of six firefighters from Samalaju fire station led by PPgB Hashim Norshidi were rushed to the location.
“Firefighters arrived at the location found that the storage unit, which was used to store multipurpose equipment, was completely destroyed in the incident, and proceeded to extinguish the remaining flame,” it said.
The statement noted the operation ended at 2.50 am and no casualties were reported. –DayakDaily.
