KUCHING, Dec 18: Wilson Nyabong Ijang defended N61 Pelagus with a comfortable majority of 1,049 votes in a five-cornered contest.
Based on official results from the Election Commission (EC), Wilson secured 2,843 votes over closest contender Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s (PSB) Kristoffer Nyauk Bajok who had 1,794 votes.
Three other rivals from Democratic Action Party (Solomon Kumbong with 250 votes), Parti Bumi Kenyalang (Nyambong Sibat with 88 votes) and Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (Moses Ripai with 76) barely made a dent. All three lost their deposits. — DayakDaily
