STIDC, subsidiaries present Ramadan aid worth RM100,000 to less fortunate in Tanjung Manis

KUCHING, March 28: Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) and its five subsidiaries presented Ramadan contributions totalling RM100,000 to some 1,150 less fortunate people in Tanjung Manis constituency.

Deputy Minister for Urban Development and Natural Resources Datu Len Talif Salleh said the recipients comprised the poor, older citizens, single mothers and orphans residing in Kampung Rajang, Kampung Jerijeh, Kampung Stalon, Kampung Sebayang and Kampung Kinyau.

“This is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme carried out by STIDC since 2001 and insya-Allah we will continue this forever provided that these companies continue to make profit,” he said during the presentation ceremony at Wisma Sumber Alam here today.

Also present were STIDC general manager Datu Hashim Bojet and deputy general manager Haluyah Awi. — DayakDaily
