Status of those fully vaccinated not reflected in MySejahtera?

KUCHING, Aug 25: There are increasing number of reported cases where Sarawakians who have completed full vaccination fail to receive their digital certificates.

As such, the federal government has been urged to grant MySJ (MySejahtera) system access to identified Sarawak agencies to solve slow issuance of Covid-19 vaccination digital certificates.

This is the view of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) deputy secretary general Sih Hua Tong who had received complaints from Sarawakians that even after fully vaccinated, their status was not updated in the MySejahtera.

“Some claimed to have waited for two months and apparently, there were no news yet.

“They sought assistance to get rectification on the digital certificate issue and did multiple attempts via helpdesk, called up hotline, went to vaccination centres and tried other means, but their efforts were to no avail.

“Some who encountered these complications were unable to get them rectified even after two months,” he said in a statement today.

Sih further said that by granting system access to Sarawak agencies, various problems or complications faced by the people can be rectified faster.

Among other cases included false vaccination information registered on the digital certificates.

“These include wrong date(s), wrong identity card (IC) number and wrong vaccine type. Even those who have the IC numbers wrongly keyed-in were not able to get them amended at the profile page of MySJ,” he added.

He also said some of those who encountered such issues have their livelihood affected because some employers who planned to hire these prospect employees required them to show their digital certificate prior to employment.

There were others who were prohibited from entering certain offices, shopping malls, outlets, cafés or restaurants in carrying out their daily chores.

“All these are causing a lot of inconveniences and stress to those affected. These rectifications are simple issues to get resolved so long as MySJ system access is granted to pre-identified Sarawak agencies,” said Sih. — DayakDaily
