KUCHING, Feb 25: Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki has clarified that a purported Islamic investment scheme that falsely used his photo in its advertisement is a scam and warned against falling victim to it.
“Be aware that the scheme is fraudulent. My image has been misused, and people should not be duped by this scheme,” he said in a statement uploaded on Sarawak Public Communication Unit’s (Ukas) Facebook page yesterday (Feb 24).
Abu Bakar further mentioned that he has taken legal action by filing a police report regarding the matter. — DayakDaily
