KUCHING, Nov 13: High speed Internet access is now available in Sg Ladong, Sg Bilis, and Senangeh in Sebuyau.

Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) chief executive officer Sudarnoto Osman in a statement today said it was made possible through a Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) Rural Telecommunication (SMART) tower and Sarawak Rural Broadband Network (MySRBN) service.

“Through Sarawak Multimedia Authority’s Sarawak Linking Urban, Rural and Nation (Saluran) initiative, I hope this will be a starting point towards a better Internet connectivity in Sarawak and enable Sarawakians to stay connected and bridge the digital gap between rural and urban areas,” he said.

He added SDEC also aims to provide MySRBN services to 36,000 premises by the end of 2023.

The launching ceremony of the tower was officiated at by Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak Datuk Julaihi Narawi.
