KUCHING, Dec 18: State Reform Party Sarawak (Star) is organising a pre-Christmas gathering-cum-public talk this coming Saturday (Dec 21) starting at 7pm at Laksa House (opposite SSM building) in Pending City Square.
Party president Lina Soo, deputy president Hugh Lawrence Zehnder, secretary-general Simon Tiong and assistant secretary Patrick Teo will be among the speakers debating on the future of Sarawak while former Pujut assemblyman Fong Pau Teck will share on the right to vote in an independence referendum.
The talk will be in Mandarin and English.
In a media release today, the organiser invited members of the public to attend the gathering where they can enjoy a good selection of local street food on promotion at Laksa House.
Sarawak laksa fried mee hoon is offered at a promotion price of RM5 only and fried char kway teow at only RM2, while their range of iced syrup drinks, kopi-o and chinese tea are priced at RM1 only.
Other food available include Sarawak laksa, pork curry, chicken curry, Hailam chicken rice, ayam penyet, BBQ chicken, local kuih-muih, fried rice, mee, kway teow and meehoon, and many more.
There will be a Christmas lucky draw at 10pm for patrons who spend more than RM10 in a single receipt.
For entertainment, there will be performances and Christmas songs.
