LUNDU, Dec 28: St Francis’ Church’s childcare centre here has received allocations totalling RM10,000.

According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan disclosed RM4,000 would be presented to the childcare centre during an event held in conjunction with the recent Christmas celebration.

The amount was on top of RM6,000 which was given before this, making a total allocation to the childcare centre amounting to RM10,000.

“The idea to create the centre is good for the development of children aged four-years-old and above.

“It is also the time where the thinking of the child develops,” Azizul said in his speech during the N03 Tanjong Datu constituency’s Christmas Day celebration at Dewan Mahligai Gading Lundu yesterday.

At the same time, Azizul reminded members of the Christian community celebrating Christmas to abide by standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the prevention of Covid-19 and to take good care of their health while celebrating Christmas and the new year.

Some 20 children, the underprivileged and community leaders from Lundu attended the event.
