SIMANGGANG, May 21: The Civic Centre and Taman Harmoni multipurpose hall are two locations which have been proposed to be converted into another Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) here.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) today, the suggestion to set up another PKRC was to provide more comfort to Covid-19 patients receiving treatment especially in Sri Aman Division.
The first premises proposed to be utilised as PKRC was the Taman Harmoni multipurpose hall due to its concrete structure which can serve the purpose when equipped with the necessary medical equipment.
The Sri Aman Civic Centre is second in the list in the event that Taman Harmoni multipurpose hall cannot fulfill the requirement of the Sri Aman Division Health Department.
Meanwhile, Sri Aman is currently a Covid-19 red zone with a cumulative of 153 local cases recorded in the past 14 days.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) report also indicated that 141 active cases are still receiving treatment and under observation at Sri Aman Hospital.
While Sri Aman did not report any Covid-19 cases yesterday (May 20), there are currently three active clusters in the division.
They are Sebujok Cluster which still has 62 active cases, Melugu Cluster (22 active cases) and Nanga Skrang Cluster (12 active cases). ā DayakDaily
