KUCHING, April 30: Four districts in Sarawak have been issued a thunderstorm warning valid until 5pm today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in an advisory issued at 2.15pm today, the four districts are Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu including Kanowit and Selangau and Song in Kapit.
A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single issue. — DayakDaily
