KUCHING, Nov 30: The Kuching Choral Society (KCS) and Kuching Wind Symphony presented a RM15,000 donation to Home of Peace during its annual Christmas Charity Concert on Saturday (Nov 29), marking the central highlight of this year’s ‘Carols of Peace’ event.
The contribution was raised through strong support from guests, sponsors, performers and the wider community. KCS said the funds reflect the spirit of generosity that anchors the concert each year and will aid ongoing welfare work undertaken by Home of Peace.
Organised in collaboration with the Kuching Wind Symphony, the concert also reinforced KCS’s mission of promoting music education, cultural appreciation and meaningful community engagement.
Also present were Batu Kitang assemblyman Dato Ir Lo Khere Chieng, representing Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian; Indonesian Consul General in Sarawak Dr Abdullah Zulkifli and his spouse, Irma Zulkifli; KCS chairman and conductor Benedict Lo; and president of the Kuching Concert, Wilson Tan. —DayakDaily
