KUCHING, June 14: Spain is interested in collaborating with Sarawak in the field of technology development.
According to a news report published by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the Spanish Ambassador to Malaysia, Jose Luis Pardo Cuerdo, stated that he wanted to see and contribute to the Sarawak government’s action plan in the sector.
“We have identified sectors that are a priority for Sarawak and where Spain can contribute through our companies.
“This sector includes renewable energy, technology development, smart cities, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and many other sectors that can be developed.
“This includes culture, tourism, agriculture, and many more,” he said when met by the media after paying a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
Also participating in the courtesy visit was Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Spanish Embassy, Ines Perez Durantez Bayono. — DayakDaily
