KUCHING, June 14: Sarawak and the South Korean government have discussed joint partnership opportunities in renewable energy.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the South Korean Ambassador to Malaysia, Yeo Seung-Bae, discussed joint partnerships that involved a hydrogen project, a carbon storage sector project, and others.
“I am confident that Sarawak can take advantage of the joint partnership and benefit by combining with South Korean expertise in the field.
“South Korea is a leading country in innovation and technology that can benefit both South Korea and Sarawak.”
He told reporters this today after a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.
Accompanied Yeo were Commercial Attaché from the South Korean Embassy, Lim Chaeuk, the First Secretary of the South Korean Embassy Yoo Jihan, the Second Secretary of the South Korean Embassy Shin Hyeongu, Director General of KOTRA, Lee Sung Gi, the Chief Global Officer of K-WATER, Kwon Ki Dong and Korea Environment Corporation Affairs director, An Sung Jun. — DayakDaily
