SOP compliance: 7 compound notices issued

KUCHING, Aug 22: Police issued seven compound notices related to violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) throughout Sarawak.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, said that four compound notices were issued in Kota Samarahan and one each in Sarikei, Betong and Kanowit.

Under Ops Benteng with six roadblocks mounted in five districts of Lundu, Bau, Serian, Sri Aman and Lubok Antu, a total of 2,102 vehicles had been inspected.


SDMC also reported that compliance checks were also carried out in 1,746 premises throughout Sarawak involving 163 supermarkets, restaurants (309), factories (11), banks (109), government offices (77), hawkers (38), markets (95), houses of worship (106), recreational areas (53), construction sites (25) and others (760). —DayakDaily
