Soldier claims trials to sexually assaulting, performing oral sex on colleague

KUCHING, Feb 24: An army personnel has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to two counts of physical sexual assault including performing oral sex on his colleague.

Mohd Rafiq Mansor, 33, was accused of committing oral sex and carnal intercourse against the order or nature without consent on his 25-year-old victim, as well as sexual assault intending to outrage the modesty of the victim.


The offences were allegedly committed at a car park at Jalan Chan Chin Ann, on Dec 1, 2018, at about 4am.

The accused pleaded not guilty to both charges before judge Mohd Taufik Mohd Yusoff, who fixed April 8 to hear the case. The judge set bail at RM10,000 with two local sureties.

Mohd Rafiq was charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term between five years to twenty years, upon conviction.

He was also charged under Sectio 354 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term up to 10 years or with fine or with whipping, or with any two of such punishment, upon conviction.
