SIBU, June 24: Residents have been advised not to camp outside the fence of the vaccination centre (PPV) at the Sibu Jaya multi-purpose hall hoping they can secure a vaccination slot.

Sibu Municipal Council chairman, Clarence Ting said only those who have received their vaccination appointments through MySejahtera are allowed to enter.

“If you do not have appointment, don’t go. Wait for your turn when MySejahtera notifies you,” he advised.

Ting said this as a large group of people with no vaccination appointments can be found standing outside the fence, trying their luck at getting a vaccination slot almost on daily basis.

According to Ting, only those who have a confirmed appointment for the vaccine, will be allowed to enter the premises.

“Many friends of mine have been allocated vaccination slots in Sibu Jaya. There were reports that many people were waiting outside. This afternoon my friend went for the appointment and the whole process took only 30 minutes,” he said. — DayakDaily
