SK Orang Kaya Mohammad Bintulu to begin class in June, full completion by April 2025

BINTULU, Jan 8: The construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Orang Kaya Mohammad in Bintulu is on track for full completion by April 2025, with the school set to commence its academic sessions in June of this year.

In a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress during a recent site visit.

He noted that the construction had proceeded smoothly despite minor challenges.

“The contractor has assured that the project is in its final stages and remains on schedule for timely completion.

“With state-of-the-art facilities and 30 classrooms, SK Orang Kaya Mohammad will provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment for students while addressing the educational needs of the local community,” he said.

Sagah further highlighted the importance of modern educational infrastructure in equipping students to face future challenges.

“The construction of such institutions reflects our commitment to nurturing a generation of competent and prepared individuals. This new school marks a significant step in modernising the education sector in the region,” he added.

Sagah expressed hope that the new school would significantly benefit the local community and enhance the overall learning environment for future generations.

Also present during the visit were federal deputy director-general of Education (Policy and Co-curricular Sector) Dr Rusmini Ku Ahmad, Sarawak Education director Omar Mahli, and representatives from the Public Works Department (JKR) Bintulu. — DayakDaily
