In the doubles event, Kho paired up with Kuching teammate Hou Ben Yee to overpower Miri’s duo Carson Kuek and Lucas Ha with a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory, securing another gold medal.

The double triumph came just days after Kho’s strong showing at the Tennis Malaysia Junior Tour SportExcel 2025 Leg 4 in Melaka (Aug 5–9), where he partnered Penang’s Mason Jairus to capture the Under-12 Doubles title and reached the singles semifinals, proving his ability to compete among the country’s best juniors.

Expressing gratitude for his success, Kho in a press release, credited his school, particularly headmistress Chong Siew Fong, for continuous encouragement, as well as his coaches, parents and friends for their unwavering support.

He also acknowledged the PTMS-MTS partnership training programme, which played a crucial role in his preparation and recent achievements. — DayakDaily
