Site supervisor discharged, acquitted of causing hurt to Chinese national

KUCHING, June 17: The Sessions Court here discharged and acquitted a construction site supervisor of a charge of voluntarily causing hurt to a Chinese national.

Sessions Court Judge Mohd Taufik Mohd @ Mohd Yusoff found that there were inconsistencies in testimonies of witnesses and there was no proof that the victim was present in Sarawak at the time of the incident.


Sessions Court Judge Mohd Taufik then discharged and acquitted the accused.

Pau Su Chai had been accused of voluntarily causing hurt to a Chinese national with an adjustable spanner at a house in Jalan Semeba, at about 2.30am on November 17, 2016.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Danial Ilham Kamaruddin prosecuted while the accused was represented by Counsel Steven Beti and Gerald Donald.—DayakDaily
