KUCHING, Oct 9: 50 Sake enthusiasts were introduced to the world of Sake on Oct 3 at the Riverside Majestic Hotel (Astana Wing) here through tastings and in-depth knowledge from two Sake masters, Naomi Obata of the renowned Tatenokawa Brewery and Shuzo Nishimura of the esteemed Kamotsuru Brewery.
According to a press release, Albert Kho, general manager of Goodness Sake Enterprise, stated that the event was made possible by Goodness Sake Enterprise. The class was to highlight the origin of the Japanese rice wine, Japanese culture, the benefits of consuming Sake, and guidelines for drinking Sake.
“Tatenokawa Premium Sake is made from special polished rice and ‘soft water’ that can only be found in Yamagata prefecture in the northern part of Japan. The ‘soft water’ contributes to the smooth and clear taste of the Sake,” read the press release.
Joshua Boo of Dajin Food and Beverages Sdn Bhd commented that the Sake business is growing in Malaysia. They have six outlets in Kuching with Goodness Sake Enterprise being the sole distributor. — DayakDaily
