KUCHING, July 11: The first Siong How Exclusive, comprising almost a dozen concept stores within a large retail outlet, has opened at La Promenade Mall, along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway.
The La Promenade outlet is the 14th branch for the franchise. Covering a retail area of over 12,000 sq ft on Level Three, brands represented include Electrolux, Haier, LG, Panasonic and Samsung.
Also operating concept stores within it are Beko, Alpha, Joven, KDK, Mitsubishi Electric, Morgan and Butterfly.
“We are so proud today to have our first Exclusive store up and running. A big thanks to the ever supportive La Promenade Mall and Hock Seng Lee (HSL).
“We have worked well together to create an exclusive shopping experience. This is only fitting as La Promenade is a high-end gated community, the flagship development of HSL, where its HQ is also located,” Siong How managing director Lo Kok How said in a media release today.
There will be plenty of promotions at Siong How Exclusive, including new product launches from the major brands, plus opening discounts and special deals.
Lo emphasised that retail with great service is a winning combination, especially to offer benefits like hands-on demonstrations.
“Making decisions like which aircon to purchase, which TV size, and trying out new features is much easier and stress-free when you can talk to a professional salesperson. This is why a lot of technology brands including Apple insist on having physical stores,” he added.
As a tenant of HSL’s mall, Siong How Exclusive will be part of the developer’s upcoming sales events, featuring a range of programmes from festive season promos to showhouses.
The 200-acre La Promenade is master-planned to be a township within a park. Significantly, it is the first and only real estate to win the industry’s trifecta of awards for landscaping, architectural and recognition from developers’ associations.
The Mall is the commercial focal point of the estate, housing several other well-established Sarawak brands such as Black Bean Coffee & Tea, Foo Man Ting, SugarBun, Hoan Gallery, Rice King and Zoro.
Besides Siong How, HSL’s leasing team is rumoured to be announcing another major tenant, K11 Karaoke, on L2, the food and entertainment section of the mall, in the next few months.
An expansion of the mall, which will almost triple leasable area, is in the early planning stages.
HSL’s property team is also working on adding three blocks of mid-low to medium priced apartments, fronting the always busy expressway.
