KUCHING, Feb 24: Malaysian singer-songwriter Noh Salleh’s clothing brand Hikari Riders will launch a special collection at Roombark Bundle and Food Festival 2.0 at Majma Mall here today.
The brand-new collection would include two graphic tees, one baseball jersey, and a cap.
This is the first time ever the Hikari Riders is doing such an honour for Sarawak, considering that its only outlet is based in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.
For the record, Noh is a Sarawakian artiste best known as the frontman of the indie rock band, Hujan.
Hikari Riders was flown all the way from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching to become the special vendor for Roombark Bundle and Food Festival 2.0, which commenced yesterday (Feb 23) and will be held until Feb 26.
According to Roombark Event Company co-founders Mohamad Nizam Abdul Kadir and Mohamad Khairuzie Bolhassan, the festival is organised in collaboration with Majlis Pengakap Matang, OG Bundle Legend, Kasutologi, Star Audio One, and One Sound and Light (OSL).
There are 87 booths altogether that sell food, drinks, and preloved or bundle products.
“We gathered famous vendors, such as the 3 Brother Bundle from Miri, to bring their rarest items for our visitors and customers, especially bundle lovers.
“The best thing is that on the last day of the event (Feb 26), we would have a lelong (sale by auction) where you can buy a lot of good products at the cheapest prices.
“However, visitors should also not miss out to come to the event earlier because the bundle vendors are already selling the goods at the lowest price of RM2 while the highest price tag is at RM500,” Nizam told DayakDaily yesterday.
The Roombark Bundle and Food Festival 2.0 also hold various activities, such as a skateboard competition, a kids’ colouring contest, and a fashion show.
On Saturday night, there will be a mini-concert from 8.30pm to 12am, featuring Malaysia’s 90s legendary singers Rahmad Mega and Renggo Arrow.
“The first time we held Roombark Fest last year, we had about 5,000 visitors. This year, we humbly targeted only about 2,000 visitors due to the smaller venue compared to last year,” Nizam added. — DayakDaily
