KUCHING, Aug 2: Awang Sauni Pengiran Anis, the father of federal Deputy Health Minister and MP for Sibuti, Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni, has passed away today.
According to an announcement made by Lukanisman on his Facebook page, his father breathed his last at around 2.45am in his sleep. He was laid to rest at the Sungai Beluboh Islamic Cemetery.
“Our family accepts this fate with a heart full of submission, and we humbly ask for prayers that our father’s soul may be placed among the righteous.
“If he had ever committed any wrongdoing, whether knowingly or unknowingly, I, on behalf of the family, sincerely ask for forgiveness for all his shortcomings.
“I also kindly request, should he have any unsettled debts or obligations, to please inform me directly so that we may settle them accordingly,” said Lukanisman in his post.
Upon hearing the news, federal Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi expressed his condolences to Lukanisman and his family.
“I received the sad news of the passing of the father of my friend and comrade, YB Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Health and member of Parliament for Sibuti, with deep sorrow and a heavy heart.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences and prayers that YB Dato Lukanisman and his family be granted strength and peace of heart in facing this challenging time,” said Nanta. — Facebook
