MIRI, Jan 10: Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni has expressed shock in the manner MACC made public the audio recordings allegedly involving former premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and several officials over dealings linked to 1MDB and SRC International.

There should be other platform for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to reveal the content accordingly instead of making it public, he said.

“MACC should forward the audio recordings to the prosecuting attorneys related to the case and not made it public.

“This shows that our privacy could be easily being invaded (via wiretap), its an invasion of individual privacy,” he told reporters after presenting grant to NGOs and a Parent Teacher Association in his constituency here today.

Lukanisman questioned the motive behind the act of making the audio recording public.

“We are worried and concerned with the current political situation in our country. MACC’s recent act in making the audio public has created various reactions from the people,” he said. — DayakDaily
