KUCHING, July 10: A furniture factory located at Siburan caught fire, causing 20 per cent of the whole structure to be destroyed early this morning.

The fire was reported to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) at 2.32 am and a team was deployed to the scene.

According to a statement from the State Bomba Operation Centre, the fire started from the cable of a vacuum machine, wooden boards and some of the wooden dust.

Bomba managed to put out the fire using the RECEO (Rescue, Exposures, Confine the Fire, Extinguish, Overhaul) concept with a water hose connected to the water tank from the truck. The fire was fully doused in just 10 minutes time.

After collecting necessary information from the scene, Bomba ended their operation at 3.03 am and returned to their station.-DayakDaily
